Our company manufactures multi-layer co-extrusion MDO-PP cast film production lines, which represent top-tier industry standards within China’s domestic market. This integrated equipment combines casting, Machine Direction Orientation (MDO), traction and winding functions in one unit. It is compatible with a wide range of raw materials, including PP (Polypropylene), PE (Polyethylene) and PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate). The line supports a maximum draw ratio of 10 times, with adjustable stretching multiples dynamically modified according to different formulations.

This machine is equipped with premium automatic casting dies and a thickness gauge with APC (Automatic Profile Control). The gauge conducts real-time online film thickness inspection and adjusts the die automatically accordingly. Optional electrostatic edge pinning systems and positive/negative air knives can be fitted to ensure smooth production operations. The MDO stretching section adopts high-temperature hot oil heating rollers regulated by a mold temperature controller, delivering minimal temperature deviation and even heat distribution across roller surfaces. Each drive axis is independently powered by servo motors, enabling higher processing speeds and superior precision. Optional Schuman corona treaters and defect inspection systems are available to satisfy diverse post-processing requirements.
An online film edge trim recycling system is installed as standard; it recycles edge trims from both after the main chill roll and before winding, feeding the recycled material back into the extruder to substantially cut production costs.
The winding station features a double-station turret center winding mechanism, which delivers excellent winding quality while boosting productivity. Imported tension controllers are fitted across the whole line to enable automatic roll change and film cutting, further elevating operational efficiency.

Full Production Process Flow

1. Extruders plasticize and extrude resin pellets

2. Melted resin flows through a T-die and is cast onto the main chill roll (casting roll)

3. Cast sheet cools and sets into film

4. Online film thickness measurement and edge trimming

5. MDO longitudinal stretching (preheating → stretching → heat setting → cooling)

The MDO longitudinal stretching unit is the core component for MOPP film production. It aligns the molecular chains and restructures the crystalline structure of polypropylene films along the machine direction. This process greatly enhances the film’s machine-direction mechanical properties such as tensile strength and rigidity, alongside improved optical clarity and barrier performance.
