With the growing awareness of environmental protection, some of our packaging has now begun to progressively use non-toxic polyolefin resins with additional materials such as polylactic acid, starch, chitin or other cellulose, photosensitizers and biodegradable agents. It is because they are all in line with the concept of green chemistry that the corresponding biodegradable bags have been created. One of the biodegradable plastics used is a new material.

Generally made of plastic film as the raw material of the bag referred to as plastic bags, commonly used plastic bags are: convenience bags, biodegradable canvas bags, handbags, flat pockets, plastic bags, zipper bags and other bags. Plastic bags about 90 days after the degradation, while suitable for specific conditions can be automatically decomposed.
Most commonly used plastic bags for food are made of polyethylene film, which is non-toxic and can therefore be used to hold food. There is also a type of film made from polyvinyl chloride, which itself is non-toxic, but has a certain degree of toxicity due to the additives added depending on the use of the film, which are often harmful to the human body. Therefore, this film and plastic bags made from it should not be used to hold food. If you need to identify polyvinyl chloride plastic and polyethylene plastic bags, you can use the burning method to distinguish.
So how do you get the biodegradable plastic components used in biodegradable bags? There are several methods available.

(1) Natural polymer transformation method. It takes starch, cellulose, chitin, lignin, seaweed and other natural polymers as raw materials, and through chemical reaction and copolymerization methods, these molecules are transformed to synthesize plastics that are easily biodegradable.
(2) Chemical synthesis. Simulating the structure of natural macromolecules, starting from simple functional groups, the macromolecular chains of plastics are linked to active groups such as amide, peptide, and ester groups, etc. Compounds containing these groups resemble the structural divisions of natural proteins and fats, so they are easily degraded.
(3) Microbial fermentation method, many microorganisms can utilize some organic matter as a carbon source through metabolism, secretion and production of polyester, polysaccharide polymers. These molecules are easily degraded and can be further recycled.
Bag making machine and perforating machine are necessary machinery for producing bags. Typically, there are two types of biodegradable bag making machines, biodegradable heat seal cold cut bag making machines and heat seal hot bag making machines. Heat sealing and cold cutting bag making machine produces bags with the bottom of the bag firstly sealed by heat and then cut by cold.
Generally biodegradable plastic bags are made of polyethylene and starch, but this biodegradable plastic can only be degraded into smaller plastic pieces by the bulk of the degradation, the small molecule components of the plastic has not completely disappeared, so only limited degradation.
At present, China has developed a new type of biodegradable material, which consists of polyvinyl alcohol, starch and photosensitizer. Polyvinyl alcohol itself is easier to degrade than polyethylene, the addition of photosensitizers can accelerate the degradation of plastic by absorbing sunlight, and starch can promote the rate of biodegradation of plastic in the soil. As a result, this new type of degradable plastic is easier to degrade than before, and after degradation the plastic breaks down into simple structural molecules such as carbon and water, making it more environmentally friendly.
Emphasis on environmental protection should not be delayed, in order to eliminate the causes of white pollution, we should all make a modest contribution.

Commonly used equipment for film concentration
Common equipment used for membrane concentration includes centrifuges, concentrators and evaporators.Centrifuges are used to separate liquids from solids in a sample by spinning at high speeds.Concentrators are used to remove excess solvent from a solution, usually by evaporation.Evaporators are used to remove solvents from solution by heating them until they evaporate.

What machines are needed to produce plastic film
To produce plastic film, you need a plastic extruder and a calender. The plastic extruder will melt the plastic pellets and force the melted plastic through an opening in the die to create a thin plastic tube. The calender will remove the tube and flatten it into a thin sheet of plastic film. You can buy both machines used on eBay or other industrial auction sites.
